Slow Day at Work
Alone again in the office. Its not such a bad thing except that its really quite misearable-looking. It looks like it got ransacked and even the robbers couldnt find anything they wanted, actually. Ah well. Such are the lives of reporters. Too busy poking their nose into other people's business that they can't even clean up their own mess. Geez. Any wonders why I try to stay away from the lot of them?
Sure, sometimes they're cool to hang out with, and some are really nice people and some make me laugh till my sides hurt. But most have a little weird or eccentric streak in them (myself included) that defies any logical train of thought.
Today I'm supposed to look for the Legal Aid Bureau to ask them for their side of the story as to why this Indian expatriate man is claiming that they took away his son without legal consent. But apparently, all the officers are on leave. The others have gone out for courses and seminars. And we wonder why the court cases are so backlogged. Its no wonder if this is what our lawyers are doing. Scratch that. Its not just lawyers. Its any government office. Such a pain to work with, I swear.
I've got a bit of a flu and headache when I woke up this morning. No idea where from. But I'm pretty happy with myself cause yesterday I managed to run about 2.8km in 25 minutes on the treadmill. I usually don't enjoy indoor exercises but the pool was closed last night so I went to the gym instead. I get so bored, so fast in the gym. I think I'll stick to swimming.
